About us

The Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+i), attached to the Communication and Publications Service from Universitat Jaume I (UJI) in Castelló, has launched the videoblog Ciència UJI TV, supported by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. The project has been also sponsored by Aula Dávalos-Fletcher de la Cultura.

The purpose of the UCC+i is to channel and enhance the actions of communication and dissemination of science in the UJI, using the audiovisual format. This channel aims at being a tool to structure and facilitate the access to all kinds of audiovisual materials related to university research, technology and innovation. To reach the widest possible audience, all videos produced by the Communication and Publications Service are available in Catalan and Spanish, with subtitles in English.

The Universitat Jaume I is a public higher education and research centre, set up in 1991, which seeks to enhance the social, economic and cultural development of the society that surrounds it through the creation and transmission of knowledge. The UJI devotes a special effort to research and development, aware of their importance in teaching quality, and the actual interaction between university and society. The Universitat Jaume I is among the top Spanish universities in obtaining external resources for research and development for each member of the teaching and researching staff.
